A Wordpress Day

Today, I sat in front of the computer and try to learn more in detail about wordpress which is a nice script to be used if you host your own blog page.

The whole day....

What a nice thing to do if you now what you are doing...

But with wordpress its better for the user to learn a little bit of html and php to make full used of it..

Now, I am still trying some stuffs with my test server...

Petronas Scholarship Parcel

Finally, the parcel that I have been waiting for like a week after the result of my Petronas Scholarship being published on their web site.

The parcel arrived at 11am and at that time I was in front of the Tv doing nothing but watched some boring shows on ASTRO...

While I was doing what I am doing at that time, I heard a multiple knocked on the door of my house at first I thought that it was my mother. Then, I wondered why my mother came back early in the afternoon and it is not the usual time for her to reach home.

While I was wondering in my own world, I was shocked again by the loud knocking of the door of my house. Usually, strangers or visitors that came to my house will rang the bell first before knocking the door.....

You must be wondering why I did not lock my gate in front of my house if I do not want to let people in to my house front compound...

The answer is :
my house didn't have any front gate...

After a while, the knocking of the door start to become more aggressive as if the person who was knocking the door is in a very bad mood....

Bang.... I snap out.... I quickly run upstairs and open the door....

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw a man in his 20's wearing a dark jacket like an office boy and also I heard a motorcycle sound right in front of my house...

At that time I knew that he should be the person who supposed to send me the parcel from petronas....

I took the parcel as he asked my name is who I am... and I said yes...

After a standard procedure which is to give my signature to him I said thanks and I quickly closed the door and locked it....

.....Yeah....

I open the parcel and in it there was like 60 pages of printed materials...

I can't wait....

I read it and I was actually little bit confused on what I'm supposed to do...
But who cares as long I accepted it and managed to further my studies abroad...

What a Boring Day

I woke up at 11am and quickly have my breakfast.

I was hoping that the Petronas parcel that they will send to me will be arriving to my house today but I wait and nothing came to my house.... what a drag...

Petronas parcel I'll be waiting.... (can't wait to start college life)

I open up my laptop and start by updating my website which is currently offline and on a test server and I planned something big but hoping that I can finished it by June....

I visit my Facebook page and it was as usually.. nothing there but picture of me...

Then... I visit Recom Scholarship Forum and read for the scholarship update from others...

I was very boring until I... try to hack stuff which is impossible for me as I am not a professional coder but I tried and failed... ahaha

After 3 weeks I did not touch my guitar, today I broke the monotony of the 3 weeks and played my guitar which I have been keeping it inside my room on top of the shelf collecting dust...

I still remember one of my first song that I learn when I was just started playing guitar and it was TIME OF YOUR LIFE by Green Day.... This song was one of the easiest song for beginners at that time as you can see I can still remember the chord till today... what a shock....

I hoping that in this year I will get a new acoustic guitar as my only guitar are getting very rusty...

After a while it started to get boring again... I put down my guitar and start playing Dragonica ( a online game which was actually introduce by my brother and currently it still on close beta client). My character was on lvl19 and it is an achievement.

Now the day end with ecitement and hoping that tomorrow the parcel from petronas will arive to my house..

My First Blog

Today is the first day that I will make a commitment to blog every day starting from today.

Its been like years that I had been doing stuffs on the internet and blogging is the last thing that came into my mind.

I've been learning programming for like 4 years as my part-time studies and I had tried various kind of programming stuffs and my skill can be categorized as beginning-intermediate. But for some reason I felt that I am still lost in the world of programming. My key stuffs are web design development. I design web and also program them by using either these STUFFS : CSS, HTML, PHP.

Joomla is also one of the nicest free CMS that I always used in my project.

I've just finish my SPM 2008 and I pass it with flying colours (9A1, 1A2). I felt ashamed that my A2 is actually my mother-tongue language.

I applied for like 5 types of scholarship in the month of Mac right after I received my SPM result.

And only 3 organization gives me chances to prove myself for their scholarship or sponsorship award. I was called for interview for JPA, Educamp for Petronas and PNB I went for their CRCT test which actually the same test that was given during my participation in Educamp.

Finally, 8 MAY 2009, the result came out and I only managed to get Petronas sponsorship secured a place for me to go overseas study in Australia.

Thank God!

For JPA, I only managed to secured a scholarship to further my study locally in IPTS = not IPTA.

Now, after half a year doing nothing but programming website, I can't wait to start my colege life. Tomorrow the parcel from Petronas will arrive and I will sign the aggreement and soon college life here I come..

Petronas Sponsorship Interview

This is my experiene of Petronas sponsorship interview

First we were asked to gathered in a small room.. I mean all of us...

Then we were called according to the code that were given to us.... and the person in charged leads the way for us to the quarantined room number one which we were given a placed to seat with our group member and at that time I took the advantage by trying to get to know my group member.

On the table in front of us, there were a stack of printed material and also a stack of blank A4 paper...

The person in charged explained everything to us and asked us to take one of the printed material and read the instruction...

It was a case study.. we were given time to make out our own point with the info given... for about 15 minutes... At first for me it was kind of hard because I did not understand anything but as time goes by the ideas of it started to come to me... I wrote all my point in a manner that is easy for me to read during the presentation..

After that we were asked to go to a room to be quarantined again... Now that's the waiting room which at first everybody was kind of nervous but after a while things come to calm and one buy one were called for the interview.. in their respective group....

In my group I was the second person to be called....

I entered the interview room and I saw two officers who I believe UTP's offficers to grade me in the interview....

First they asked everything about myself..... Everything means family background, coco achievement, and other achievement....

By the way, the interview was conducted fully in English....

Then they asked about the case study that were given to me...
It was about 10++ minutes goes by and I was given permission to stop and answer some question about the case study that were given to me by the interviewer..

Had to say.... It was actually a fun thing to do.... no offense to others who had experience it....

After that we were called in a group of 5 and we were given time to discussed with each others in front of the interviewer and make a conclusion about the case study...

Then were we send off to go back and wait for the result to come out....

The End

Reminisence of Educamp v1

Its been a while when I was called by Petronas to go for their educamp which is held in UTP, Teronoh, Perak.....

The day before I am supposed to be in Tronoh I was very excited or over excited until I have a hard time of sleeping at that time thinking of what am I gonna faced the next day....

Finally after a while I finally managed to rest my eyes and went to sleep...

Ring... ring.... ring...

The sound of my clock woke me up from a sleep which I felt like a minute of time goes by....
What a waste of time...
It felt like I only slept for a minute or two....

Snap....

I managed to open my eyes and walk to the bathroom at bathed...
The water was freezing cold as it was 5:30 in the morning...
What a drag...

I get ready and at that time my father was upped and ready and we started our journey of 2 hours from KL to Tronoh which is supposed to be 4 hours drive according to what other people said...

What a lie...
It only took us 2 hours to reached there....

When I reached there, I saw so many students in the meeting point...
at that time I felt that my confidence level which is before I arrived there are extremely high when drastically down...

I am not alone in this world....

After the registration, we went for the bus to go to our dorm or in other words at my stay at that time an 1 star hotel room...

My advised to others who is going to go for Educamp in the future please take the earliest bus as they will send us to a place outside of UTP which is a lot more nicer place to spend a night there then in UTP village....

After we put our stuffs in our room which will be staying there for one night with 3 others roommate, we were send back to UTP to the Counselor Halls and there we were given breifing on what is the Sponsorship is all about and at that time the parents were also welcome to join the talk..

In the evening, parents were asked to go back and say their final last motivational speech to their beloved children. Then, we were separated to like 9 different groups which consist of approximately 40++ in a group and two UTP's representative were assigned to each group to show us around UTP as if we were the tourist and they are the tourist guide..

They are extremely friendly as I asked a lot of question to them...

After the tour, we were send of to our respectived dorm and we were given dinner....
The food was damn good...
It was the best food I have ever eaten while I was away from my house attending program such as this...

After dinner, we were send back to one of the hall in UTP to take the exam...
It was actually kind of easy the test as they asked all the basic stuffs but there were no formulas that make the test hard...
But one of the test I had done it during PNB scholaship test, so it was easy for me that time as it was the exact question....
Lucky Me!

Then after that we were send back to our room to have a good night sleep for tomorrow interview.....
